Healthcare Career Exploration

Service Description

Designed for middle and high school students who are interested in healthcare but aren't sure where they fit. Students receive individualized guidance exploring healthcare careers based on their interests, strengths, educational goals, and the type of work they envision themselves doing. Instead of simply asking, “Do you want to be a doctor or nurse?” we'll explore the many clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, technical, and administrative careers available throughout healthcare. What's Included 60-minute one-on-one career exploration session Discussion of the student's interests and academic strengths Exploration of potential healthcare professions Comparison of education and training requirements Discussion of degree and credential pathways Introduction to potential work environments Discussion of high-school preparation Recommended next steps Potential careers explored may include medicine, nursing, physician assistant studies, diagnostic medical sonography, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, laboratory sciences, pharmacy, dentistry and other healthcare professions. 60 Minutes | $125 Recommended for: Grades 6–12 Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate.
