Hello, my fellow sonography peeps 😊 It's been a while since my last blog. I hope you are all staying healthy and safe.
I am so happy to bring you today an exclusive interview with the CEO of Ultrasound MedAcademy, Alain Fernandez. His platform was one of the ones I personally used when I was trying to prepare for my registry. He provides video lectures, webinars, mock exams, and A LOT more. Well, without further ado, let's begin our interview 😊
Welcome Alain, thank you for joining us!
Tell us a bit about yourself:
My name is Alain Fernandez, a graduate from the Ultrasound program at Florida National University later I continued my career at Nova Southeastern University obtaining a Bachelor in Health Science as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in the USA. I hold professional registries in the areas of Echocardiography, Vascular, Musculoskeletal, OB/GYN, Abdominal, and Breast awarded by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and General Sonography awarded by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). My clinical and teaching experience make the perfect combination to effectively transmit my knowledge and experience to the present and future generations of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Â
How did the idea for your business come about?
The idea of the business came in 2011 when I saw the necessity in our community of more prepared Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in different specialties and also to integrate more Physicians to the Ultrasound world.Â
What are the services you provide?
Education in general ultrasound, vascular, echocardiography, ultrasound physics and instrumentation, musculoskeletal, ultrasound applications, and PACS. All this, onsite or online through our virtual platform. We also provide SDMS CME credits.Â
What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
When I see the results of my students and clients and they show their gratitude.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?Â
The path to success is not a straight line. Master the art of being patient. Work smart, not hard.Â
Becoming successful in your career certainly takes lots of patience and dedication. I would like to thank you for being interested in this blog interview and for taking the initiative to create a resource that was needed in this profession. You're truly an inspiration for our sonography community. I look forward to learning MSK from you 😄
